In times of uncertainty and rapid labour market change, young people need more than information about professions. They need life skills, self-awareness, and guidance to make informed decisions about their future. Using Ukraine as an example, this session explores how career orientation can be introduced as a school-based learning process within compulsory education.
Topics covered include:
- The importance of career orientation in times of uncertainty and labour market change
- The positive effects of career orientation on life skills, self-awareness, and decision-making
- Introducing career orientation in schools – shown by the example of Ukraine
- Tips and tools for teachers and schools to best support students in shaping their future
This session is organized by the Skills and Lifelong Learning (SLL) Working Group at RECI-FoBBIZ.
Target Audience
This event is open to the public and is recommended for anyone working with young people confronted with decisions around their career development and the choice of a profession, especially in uncertain or fragile contexts.
